High in the Central Colombia Andes in mountains of Tolima you can find a coffee paradise where the Paez indigenous people having escaped the Spanish invasion in 1500's have made their homes for around 400 years. There in Hamlets of San Pedro and La Bella you can find about 1000 small farms, all above the altitude from 1700 to 2200 meters and from 1 to 6 hectares each. Coffee production there is fully organic, sustainable and envirementally protected, the area recently being certified Organic by Mayacert and USDA.
The coffees grown here are rich in flavor, notes of red fruits, herbs, deep in tense chocolate and panela, full bodied and wonderfully balanced, with an amazing aftertaste.
