Our seasonal espresso, the coffees that make up this blend are at their peak where sweetness and liveliness join to create a complex taste experience. At the moment our house blend consists of Brazilian ( Fazenda Pantano), Rocko Mountain Yirgacheffe (Ethiopia) and El Salvadorian red bourbon ( El Borbollon). El salvadorian adds great body and depth resulting in a traditional espresso profile of chocolate with a creamy mouthfeel. Yirgacheffe gives it great top notes. The Pantano is delicate in comparison and has a lighter mouthfeel and more acidity, an acidity which expresses itself as a light oranginess. Combined and roasted they produce a wonderful espresso which is lighter than The BSCA and should be chosen if you like a lighter more acidic espresso.
A sweet, rich low in acidity espresso it is a stalwart of both espresso drinkers and stovetop users. Having used this blend since we opened both we and our customers love it's depth of body and sweetness. As a stovetop it has a milk chocolate sweetness whilst as an espresso has a hazelnut nuttiness and buttery mouthfeel.
