Coffee: El Diviso
Varietal: Castillo, Colombia
Grower: Blanca Alicia Bertram, El Diviso Farm, El Tambo, Huila, Colombia
Blanca was raised in Huila in coffee growing family. She started farming on her own in 2009 and moved to El Tambo to buy a bigger piece of land ( 8 Hectares ) in collaboration with her brother in law. With her husband she planted 50 000 trees when she first arrived. She lives at the farm with her husband, children and grandchildren.
The Castillo varietal beans are picked when they are purple and Colombia when they are bright red to ensure full ripeness. She uses dry fermentation ( 17 hrs) before pulping in a traditional Zaranda pulper. The coffee is dried in a Parabolic drying onraised tables for 8 days.

full body, great ballance
Colombians have been great this season, San Marcos, Jesus Lopez and now the El Diviso.
It is great, traditional coffee with fantastic depth and balance. Happy days.
Will make super fruity yet ballanced espresso. Best used as 30% part blend with BSCA#1.
